Register your vacancy

Stage 1: Registering your vacancy
After you tell us about your vacancy, our Further Education team will reach out for a conversation to understand your college’s needs. We’ll talk through the support on offer, including our established professional networks and headhunting techniques. Once you confirm that you’d like to proceed, we’ll share our Terms and Conditions, which need to be signed by both parties.
We’ll then schedule an introductory call to discuss your vacancy in more detail. This is your opportunity to outline the experience, skills, and qualities you’re looking for in a candidate, and for us to ensure we have a clear picture of your college’s governance needs.

Stage 2: Search and selection
Once the vacancy is registered, we promote your opportunity and begin a targeted search for candidates who meet your criteria. Our team assesses and prepares each candidate, carrying out initial suitability checks to ensure they’re a good fit.
We’ll then share a shortlist of high-quality candidates for your review, and agree a proposed interview and selection timeline. You’ll have the chance to assess each applicant and decide who you’d like to invite to interview.

Stage 3: Interview and appointment
Shortlisted candidates are formally introduced to your college, and interviews are arranged directly by you. After the interviews, your board selects the preferred candidate(s) and confirms your intention to appoint.
At this point, your usual appointment processes take over – including any necessary DBS checks and formal onboarding. We’ll remain on hand to support the induction process and ensure a smooth transition for your new governor.
