We work hard to find great trustees for multi-academy trusts around the country

As a charity, we take great care in the work we do to find trustees and help them assimilate well into their role within trusts.

We take great pride in ensuring our process is simple, and that all parties are satisfied and happy with the service we offer. As a result of this, we love to hear feedback and encourage trusts to let us know how their new trustee(s) are getting on.

Here are some of the MATs we have worked with

And here’s what they have to say about our service…

The Trustee Recruitment Service was very easy to use and our requirements were considered at every step. We are very happy with the quality of the trustee found for our board who will fill a skills gap in HR that we were carrying. This is an excellent service allowing us to address gaps on the board and think strategically about succession planning. The appointed person is keen, committed and has a broad range of skills that will enhance our work across the trust. Highly recommend this service and will certainly use it again in the future.

We used GfS’ Trustee Recruitment Service as it was recommended to us by a Chair who had had success in using the service; we have found the service easy to use, having a conversation with a member of the team to outline our requirements, following which we have been contacted by the team to inform us of potential trustees. All communication with the team has been prompt and clear. In a relatively short period of time the service has found us two potential trustees who fit our requirements.

We were looking to find new Trustees with business and finance backgrounds to our Board, as well as someone with previous board experience who could in time move to chair one of our committees. The recruitment process was very straight-forward. The Chair of the Board and the Governance Officer spent some time sharing about the Trust and what we needed from our candidates, and then the profiles started arriving. The individuals shared with us fitted the bill and the team had clearly considered our requirements very carefully. The team’s communication throughout the process was spot on – timely and supportive. We have appointed a new member to our board through this process and we’re really grateful for the introduction.

We had been looking for a trustee with financial experience who could join our Trust Board and Finance Committee. We had tried routes such as contacting local companies but had no success. The GfS Trustee Recruitment Service came along at the right time, took the details of what we were looking for and discussed this with the Chair of Trustees. TRS rapidly provided the CV of a potential trustee with relevant skills and we were able to meet with him soon after. The outcome is that we have a keen new Trustee who has expertise which will be valuable to our board.
