School governors not only make a difference in their local community, but also bring valuable skills and experience that schools/trusts can harness. However, it can take time for school governors to settle into role. That’s why we’ve created our CPD-certified eLearning – so they can learn how to become an effective part of their governing board from the outset.
With detailed information about the role and its responsibilities, and examples of best practice from existing school governors, this course ensures your board will be ready to fully engage with meetings and visits early on. We’ve also included all the terminology learners need to know to navigate the education space effectively.
We offer different courses depending the type of school
While the majority of the school governor role remains the same from school to school, volunteers may have different responsibilities or considerations depending on the type of school they serve in. That’s why we offer two courses with dedicated modules for maintained schools and academy trusts.
