Better Governor webinar: Social Mobility – the impact of good governance

This session, led by Better Governor, will explore what Social Mobility, in the context of schools, means in 2025 and what the role of governance in maintained schools and academies should be, if it is to have an impact on outcomes and future life chances for children and young people. We will focus on the groups of pupils that exist in schools, highlighting some of the barriers to social mobility, and share examples of good practice in breaking down these barriers which then creates opportunities for increased social mobility.

The session will be a mix of input from Better Governor and the opportunity to ask questions and have them answered in real time.
