Promoting anti racism in schools – the governance of preparing all pupils for life in modern Britain

This Governors for Schools webinar was hosted by Better Governor. It encouraged governors and trustees, in the light of recent events across the world, to reflect on how our schools ensure that provision positively demonstrates to all pupils that Black lives matter in 2020 and beyond.

It focused on how those in governance should be ensuring that schools’ provision builds knowledge through the curriculum offer, protects children and young people from overt racism, and identifies endemic prejudice and unconscious bias against those from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
