Understanding governors’ responsibilities around digital safeguarding

Katherine Howard,  Smoothwall’s Head of Education & Wellbeing, will lead a workshop specifically focussing on how governors can remain informed and up to date on their responsibilities when it comes to digital safeguarding and share the challenges students may face in the digital environment. Katherine will provide effective safeguarding practices to ensure the best outcomes and safety for students within your institutions and answer any questions you may have.

Katherine has been working in and with schools for over 20 years. During her time as a teacher, she taught in primary, secondary and the independent sector. Katherine has consulted with many schools, Colleges, MATs and LAs to develop their understanding of digital safeguarding and wellbeing and supported school leadership teams to implement and embed policies, procedures, training and committees. Katherine is passionate about the importance of digital safeguarding and wellbeing in schools and the wider community and supports schools with advice and support daily.
