In our ‘School Governors’ blog series, we provide a whistle-stop tour of school governance. This gives you the knowledge you need to take on the role.
This blog gives prospective school governors the information they need to make an informed choice about whether the role is for them. You can share this with your school governor networks, and/or use this as a resource to decide whether you want to work with us.

Governors for Schools is working with London School of Economics to increase attainment in schools through a school governor programme. The scheme aims to facilitate LSE staff and alumni with a diverse range of life experiences, skills, and expertise to make a meaningful contribution to society.
