Exploring the new Schools Bill (with Better Governor)

Subsequent to the webinar delivered by the Better Governor team on May 12th, this session will offer a follow-up on the schools white paper and explore the provisions for the new Schools Bill, that have now been announced by the Department of Education. The Bill was introduced in the House of Lords, has had two readings and is now at the Committee stage.

The implications of the Bill are far reaching and governors will need to ensure they understand the proposals. We will outline the five parts of the Bill, and clarify the plans in each section, focussing on the implications for governance of schools and academy trusts.

The webinar will be hosted by Better Governor governance experts, Steve Barker and Linda Waghorn and will be a mix of input from them, combined with in-session polls and the opportunity to have your questions answered in real time.
